The first of our championship events for August is the Westbury 5K Handicap race part of the WRRL
AUGUST HANDICAP RACE - Please make sure you put your current 5k time on your entry form. For the Handicap to work correctly we need everyone to have a realistic time submitted.
The great way the handicap works is that you submit your anticipated time to complete the 5 k (based on a recent club TT or parkrun), The clock is set to the highest time eg 35 mins and starts counting down. You start when the clock hits your anticipated finish time. The idea is everyone finishes at the same time and you are always surrounded by other runners making a great atmosphere AND suitable for all.
The route is a 3 lap flat and fast course all on road which promises fast times around Westbury Trading Estate. The race is chip timed by DB Max with instant online results available.
This event is also a Wiltshire Road Race League event so you WILL score points for the club.
